Idaho Police Identify Homicide Victims Linked to Escaped Inmate and Accomplice
The deaths of two men in northern Idaho are believed to be connected to an escaped inmate and his alleged accomplice, who were charged after a 36-hour manhunt. Skylar Meade and Nicholas Umphenour are suspected of killing James L. Mauney and Gerald “Don” Henderson. Meade, facing a felony escape charge, and Umphenour, facing charges including aggravated assault and aiding an escape, were taken into custody after a car chase. A third person, Tonia Huber, was charged with harboring a fugitive and drug possession. Both Meade and Umphenour have criminal histories, and the investigation is ongoing.
