A 63-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Feltonville, Philadelphia, after being struck while crossing the street; the driver fled the scene, but the vehicle was recovered, and police are investigating.
Shane Pryor, a 17-year-old escaped prisoner awaiting trial for the murder of Tanya Harris, was captured by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia after spending five days on the run. Pryor had escaped custody while being taken to a hospital for a hand injury and was later seen on surveillance video at various locations in the city. An 18-year-old, Michael Diggs, was also charged with helping Pryor escape. Pryor and a co-defendant have been in custody since 2020 for the murder in the Holmesburg section of Northeast Philadelphia.
