Ohio Faces Deer Disease Outbreaks and Hunting Restrictions
Due to an unprecedented outbreak of Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) affecting deer in Ohio, particularly in Athens, Washington, and Meigs counties, the Ohio Wildlife Council is considering limiting the upcoming deer hunting season by reducing the bag limit from three to two deer, amid strong public support for further restrictions to protect the deer population.
