Multiple Tornadoes Cause Widespread Damage in Virginia and Florida

An EF3 tornado hit the Great Neck area of Virginia Beach, damaging between 50 and 100 homes. No fatalities or injuries have been reported. The tornado struck on Sunday evening as severe storms moved through the East Coast. Virginia Beach City Manager Patrick Duhaney declared a local state of emergency. The same storm system brought flooding conditions to the Northeast on Monday morning, with flash flood warnings in effect in Maine, New Hampshire, and parts of New Jersey.

Oklahoma hit by multiple tornadoes causing widespread damage.

The National Weather Service has confirmed five tornadoes in Oklahoma, including an EF3 that caused damage in the town of Cole. Two people were killed when the tornado hit McClain County. Crews also confirmed an EF2 tornado that passed through Shawnee. Although these five have been confirmed, the National Weather Service continues to survey areas and more tornado confirmations are expected.
