Mysterious Fireball Illuminates North Georgia Skies
A fireball, believed to be an Earth grazer meteor, was spotted streaking across the evening sky over North Georgia. Witnesses reported sightings in multiple locations across Georgia and neighboring states. The bright flash occurred around dusk and lasted only a few seconds. The meteor may have been part of the Orionid meteor shower, which originates from Halley's Comet and peaks in late October. The shower can still be observed until November 22.
