The market for TV advertising has weakened, with TV networks striking deals that called for CPM increases ranging from 8% to 12% in 2022. The changes are in response to the current market conditions and business realities facing VMG and the broader news and media industry. Vice News will be streamlined to focus on the growing digital video business and news documentary and series production business for VTV and distribution partners worldwide. Dozens of staffers are affected by the cutbacks, and Vice News Tonight will have its last broadcast in May.
