"North Texas Braces for Freezing Rain and Heavy Rainfall This Week"

The First Alert Weather team has issued an alert for potential light freezing rain in parts of DFW tonight into early Monday morning, with temperatures expected to warm above freezing by mid-morning. Slick spots may develop on elevated surfaces, mainly north of the Metroplex along the Red River, before the precipitation transitions to all rain. Rainfall totals in DFW over the next 7 days are expected to range from 1" - 3", with the potential for flooding in eastern counties. Once temperatures warm above freezing on Monday morning, they are expected to stay above freezing all week, with temperatures climbing into the lower 60s midweek.

Stormy Sunday Ahead for North and Central Texas
