Thailand's Opposition Parties Eye Historic Power Shift After Election Win.
Move Forward, Thailand's youngest and most progressive party, has celebrated its success in the election and attracted a much wider range of people. Although the party's performance leaves it well short of a majority in parliament, it has agreed with Pheu Thai, the second-largest party, to form a coalition government. However, this proposed coalition would not have sufficient seats to outvote its opponents and the unelected 250-seat senate. Move Forward seems prepared to take that risk, as if daring the much-criticised senate to block them.
