While improved weather conditions have aided firefighters' efforts, the blaze continues to threaten 11 town areas. In Greece, wildfires have also caused evacuations, with one man losing his life while trying to save his livestock. Southern European countries, including Italy and Portugal, are bracing for extreme heat, with temperatures predicted to reach up to 44°C.
