"World's First Human Brain-Scale Neuromorphic Supercomputer Set to Activate in 2024"
Western Sydney University is developing a supercomputer called DeepSouth, capable of simulating networks at the scale of the human brain. With a processing power of 228 trillion synaptic operations per second, DeepSouth aims to understand how the brain processes vast amounts of information with minimal power consumption. The project could lead to the creation of a more powerful cyborg brain and revolutionize our understanding of neuroscience. Other researchers are also exploring the development of "biological computers" powered by brain cells.
