Ovsyannikova, who fled Russia with her daughter last year, expressed hope that France, where she has been granted political asylum, will not allow her daughter to be handed over to Russian authorities. She criticized the Russian judicial system, stating that all courts in Russia are controlled by the Kremlin.

Missing 3-year-old in NC found after AMBER Alert

An Amber Alert for a 3-year-old boy reportedly abducted by his father has been rescinded by the Fayetteville Police Department due to "additional information." The father, who did not have custody rights, was charged with violating a domestic violence protection order. It is unclear whether the child is safe or where he is located. The father had previously been charged with child abuse and resisting an officer in connection to a standoff with police in August 2022.

Father of Missing Woman Denied Custody Rights by Court in Madeline Kingsbury Case

The father of missing Winona mother Madeline Kingsbury's two children, Adam Fravel, has been denied custody rights by a judge as he does not have legal custody. The children will remain in the care of social services as their mother's whereabouts are unknown and her disappearance may have been "involuntary and suspicious." Fravel and his family allegedly did not cooperate with officials and refused to permit social workers to meet with the children. The judge scheduled a pre-trial hearing on May 15 with a trial set for June 6.
