Los Angeles City Councilman Curren Price has been charged with embezzlement, perjury, and conflict of interest by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren Price has been charged with 10 counts of embezzlement, perjury, and conflict of interest, including five counts of grand theft by embezzlement, three counts of perjury, and two counts of conflict of interest. Price is the latest in a series of elected officials to face public corruption allegations in recent years. The charges are the result of a years-long FBI probe that ensnared other City Hall figures. Price's arraignment date has not been set, and he is not going to be arrested. If convicted of a felony, he would permanently lose his seat on the council.
