Walmart and Banks to Stop Accepting $50 Bills Starting November
Walmart and other major retailers will stop accepting "mutilated" U.S. dollar bills starting in November as part of a new initiative to enhance monetary security. Mutilated bills, which are damaged or discolored, can be redeemed through the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Additionally, the Federal Reserve plans to introduce new designs for several denominations in the coming years to further deter counterfeiting.
