Greenlane, backed by Daimler and BlackRock, plans to build a 280-mile electric vehicle charging corridor for commercial trucks from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, with initial charging locations in Colton, California, and additional stops in Barstow and Baker. The move reflects a strategic effort by Daimler to ensure charging infrastructure for its electric truck lineup and to compete with Tesla in the big truck space.

Tesla Semi Trucks Recalled for Faulty Parking Brakes Months After Release

The recall is due to the electronic parking brake valve module (PVM) potentially not moving into position when the truck is put into park, causing parked trucks to roll away. It is unclear if the Tesla Semi uses a traditional air brake system or a supplemental electronic brake, but Tesla will replace the PVM in affected trucks free of charge and notify affected operators by May 23.
