Notre Dame College to Cease Operations at End of Semester
Notre Dame College, facing financial struggles, is set to close at the end of the spring 2024 semester. The college's board made efforts to address long-standing issues, but these were not enough to close the financial gap. In-person academic instruction will begin winding down, and the college has established agreements with nine local colleges to provide opportunities for students to continue their academic careers. Conversations between Notre Dame and Cleveland State University about a potential partnership or absorption have taken place, reflecting a broader trend of potential mergers and acquisitions in the higher education industry.
