Moon's Glass Beads Hold Water, Boosting Space Exploration
Chinese scientists have discovered water in small glass beads collected during the Chang'e 5 moon mission. The beads, found in the dirt where meteorites have hit the moon, could indicate a new water reservoir on the moon. While billions of these beads exist, mining the water would be difficult. The findings raise the possibility of removing water by heating the beads in future robotic missions, but more studies are needed to determine if the water is safe to drink.
