"China's Galactic Energy Challenges SpaceX with Historic Sea Launch"

Galactic Energy, a private Chinese company founded by former workers of the state-owned China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, has successfully carried out the first sea-based rocket launch in China. The launch of the CERES 1 rocket from a modified submersible ship in the Yellow Sea marks the company's ninth consecutive successful orbital launch and makes it the third Chinese rocket model, and the first produced by a private company, capable of launching from both land and sea. While Galactic Energy is making strides in China's commercial launch sector, it still has a long way to catch up to SpaceX, which recently broke its own record for the number of launches in a single year.
