YSM Center to Prioritize Post-Acute Infection Syndromes
Yale School of Medicine has launched the Center for Infection & Immunity (CII) to study post-acute infection syndromes, including Long COVID, post-treatment Lyme disease, and ME/CFS. The center aims to provide a greater understanding of the basic science behind infectious diseases and develop prevention strategies. With the prevalence of Long COVID and the urgent need for research, the CII will facilitate collaboration among experts and focus on identifying underlying causes and developing treatments for post-acute infection syndromes.
