"Legal Drama: Trump Lawyers Push for Cellphone Records in Nathan Wade Case"

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump are pushing to admit cellphone records showing special prosecutor Nathan Wade's visits to District Attorney Fani Willis' neighborhood, challenging the timeline of their romantic relationship. Trump's lawyers argue that the data undermines testimony by Willis and Wade, who are leading the election interference case against Trump and 14 others. Fulton County prosecutors have filed a motion contending the cellphone records are inadmissible, and the defense is seeking to disqualify Willis and her office from the case, alleging financial benefits from her relationship with Wade. The judge is set to hear closing arguments on the motion to disqualify Willis, while questions remain about the timing of the romantic relationship and the reliability of the cellphone tracking evidence.

"Cellphone Records Suggest Pre-Hiring Interactions Between Trump, Nathan Wade, and Fani Willis"

Former President Donald Trump submitted new evidence in his Georgia election interference case, alleging that Fulton County prosecutor Nathan Wade's cellphone records show frequent interactions with District Attorney Fani Willis before Wade was officially hired. Trump and co-defendants seek to disqualify Willis from the case, claiming she benefited financially from a romantic relationship with Wade. The records reveal thousands of calls and texts between Wade and Willis in 2021, potentially contradicting their testimony. A criminal investigator's affidavit based on AT&T phone records suggests Wade visited Willis' home multiple times before his hiring, prompting further legal battles and questions about attorney-client privilege.

Judge orders Rep. Scott Perry to hand over phone records in Jan. 6 and election probe

A federal judge has ordered Rep. Scott Perry, a Republican from Pennsylvania, to turn over nearly 1,700 cellphone records to government investigators in relation to the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. The judge ruled that the records were not protected by the speech or debate clause of the Constitution. While some records were deemed protected, the remaining ones, including messages about alleged election fraud and the role of the vice president in certifying the electoral vote count, must be disclosed. Perry had previously argued that the clause protected him from the government searching his communications, but the court largely rejected that argument.
