The Heart Nebula, also known as the Running Dog Nebula, is a colorful feature in the Cassiopeia constellation located about 7,500 light-years from Earth. Spanning an area larger than the Moon, the nebula's shape is influenced by supermassive stars in its core, with the blue colors resulting from ionized oxygen and sulfur. Journeying to the Heart Nebula's Core

The Daily Telescope showcases a photo of the Heart Nebula, located in the Cassiopeia constellation and discovered by astronomer William Herschel. The central feature of the nebula, known as Melotte 15 or the "Heart of the Heart Nebula," is highlighted in the image. The region of nebulosity surrounding the star cluster is particularly captivating, with some of the brightest stars being 50 times brighter than our Sun.
