Twitter and eToro team up to offer real-time trading of stocks and crypto.

Twitter is partnering with eToro to allow users to access real-time trading information and trade assets such as stocks and cryptocurrencies through a feature called Cashtags. Previously, users could only view real-time trading information from TradingView. Twitter has undergone changes since being acquired by Elon Musk, including layoffs and charging a subscription fee for blue checkmarks. Last week, Musk changed the Twitter logo to a Shiba Inu dog, resulting in a 30% jump for dogecoin.

The feature will provide real-time prices for cryptocurrencies, stocks, and other assets, and direct users to the eToro platform to invest in them. Twitter users searching for "$Cashtags" like $TSLA or $BTC will be able to access this feature globally. The expansion of $Cashtags aligns with Twitter owner Elon Musk's plans to integrate financial services into the platform, as part of his intentions to create a "super app."
