Bear Attacks Woman Near Glacier Park, Husband Rushes to Help

A 73-year-old woman was hospitalized after being attacked by a bear in the Flathead National Forest, west of Glacier National Park and near the U.S.-Canadian border. The woman, her husband, and their dog encountered the bear while hiking, and her husband used bear spray to deter the bear. The woman was flown to a hospital in Kalispell for treatment, and her condition is unknown. The area is currently closed while the investigation continues. This incident occurred just days after a grizzly bear attack in Banff National Park, Alberta, where a Canadian couple and their dog were killed.
