Breakthrough: Scientists Uncover Method to Halt Spread of Lung Cancer Protein
Scientists have discovered a molecular pathway involving the protein RBM10 that can slow down the spread of lung cancer and potentially lead to the development of new anti-cancer drugs. RBM10 hinders the protein c-Myc, which is responsible for promoting cancer cell proliferation. The study found that RBM10, along with two other proteins (RPL5 and RPL11), can disrupt c-Myc and prevent lung cancer from spreading. The research provides valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms of cancer and offers potential targets for future therapies.
