Verizon and AT&T Granted Full C-Band Use with Extended 5G Safeguards.

Four major US wireless carriers, including Verizon and AT&T, have agreed to voluntary actions to address aviation safety concerns and allow full use of the C-Band wireless spectrum for 5G use. The agreement follows extensive discussions with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and will allow carriers to increase power levels to get to full C-Band use. Some of the commitments could last until 2028, and the FAA continues to work closely to ensure a safe co-existence in the US 5G C-band environment.

SpaceX Launches Doubleheader with Starlink Satellites and SES-18/19 on Falcon 9 Block 5.

SpaceX set a new record by launching two Falcon 9 rockets in just over four hours, with the first carrying 52 Starlink internet satellites from California and the second launching two SES television broadcast payloads from Florida. The back-to-back missions set a record for the shortest span between two SpaceX Falcon 9 launches in the company’s history. The SES 18 and SES 19 communications satellites launched to kick off 15-year missions relaying C-band video and television programming for media networks and cable providers across North America.
