Air Force's Swift Action: 5 Russian Aircraft Obliterated in Record Time
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that they shot down five Russian aircraft over Bryansk Oblast in May 2023 using a Patriot air defense system. The operation, dubbed the "Bryansk Massacre," saw the destruction of two Su-34 and Su-35 fighters, two Mi-8MTPR-1 air defense helicopters, and one Mi-8 within five minutes. The Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson also mentioned the downing of another enemy Su-35 over the Black Sea. Since the start of the invasion in February 2022, Russia has reportedly lost 323 warplanes and 324 helicopters.
