Russia's Failed Missile Launch in Ukraine Causes Minimal Damage, One Casualty Reported
The British Defense Ministry has stated that Russia likely stockpiled air-launched cruise missiles (ALCMs) for use in its winter campaign against Ukraine. On December 7, a major wave of missile strikes targeted Kyiv and central Ukraine, with the aim of degrading Ukraine's energy infrastructure. However, Ukraine successfully intercepted most of the missiles, resulting in minimal damage but one civilian fatality. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is currently on his first trip to Latin America, attending the swearing-in of Argentina's new president.
