German startup Patient21 has raised $108 million in a Series C funding round led by Pitango to expand its digital healthcare platform with brick-and-mortar clinics beyond Germany. The platform offers online bookings, digital case histories, check-ins, billing, insurance, and more, and currently focuses on dentistry, with more than 80% of its clinics targeting oral health. The company plans to expand to cover additional areas of healthcare in the future and may extend into virtual healthcare. The funding will be used to grow its software and expand into two new European markets within the next 12 months.
