Bonobos sold for $75M to Express and WHP Global by Walmart.

Walmart has sold menswear brand Bonobos to brand management firm WHP Global and Express in a $75 million deal. WHP will acquire the Bonobos brand for $50 million, while Express will get Bonobos's operating assets and related liabilities for $25 million. As part of the deal, Express will enter into a licensing agreement with WHP that will allow it to run Bonobos in exchange for royalty fees. Walmart originally purchased Bonobos in 2017 for $310 million while it was attempting to grow its online presence and compete with Amazon under former e-commerce President Marc Lore.

Canva boosts design capabilities with AI-powered tools.

Canva has announced a suite of new brand management products and AI-powered design tools aimed at streamlining content creation for entire workplaces. The new features include a Brand Hub, Brand Folders, and Brand Templates, as well as AI-powered tools such as Magic Replace, Magic Eraser, and Magic Design. Canva's new translation feature automatically translates any text in a design to over 100 different languages, and video footage can be matched up to the beat of a soundtrack without any manual edits. The company currently claims to have over 110 million monthly users.
