"Healthy Diet and Supplements: Key to Slowing Aging and Reducing Dementia Risk"
Following the MIND diet, which emphasizes plant-based foods and limits animal products, has been linked to a slower pace of biological aging and reduced risk of dementia. Researchers used data from the Framingham Heart Study to measure the diet's impact on aging and found that higher adherence to the MIND diet slowed the pace of aging and reduced risks for dementia and mortality. The diet includes beneficial foods such as whole grains, green leafy vegetables, nuts, and berries, while advising against or limiting fried/fast food, cheese, red meats, pastries/sweets, and butter.
