Study Finds Binaural Beats Impede Learning Process
A study conducted by researchers at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland suggests that binaural beats, often used for enhancing focus and learning, may actually hinder cognitive performance. The study involved 920 participants who completed online tasks while listening to binaural beats, classical music, a pure tone, or no sounds at all. Regardless of what participants were told about the beats, their cognitive performance worsened compared to their baseline scores. The researchers hypothesize that binaural beats may interfere with brain waves or disrupt normal brain processes. Further research is needed to understand the effects of binaural beats on learning.
