The Israeli Labor Ministry confirmed the temporary postponement and stated that recruitment could resume once Israel ensures the security and respect of Moldovan nationals. Israel has faced a labor shortage due to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and has sought to attract more foreign workers, including from Moldova. The bilateral agreement between Moldova and Israel, which includes restrictions and regulations, has been temporarily halted pending the resolution of the reported irregularities.

"US and China Reach Deal to Double Weekly Flights in Landmark Agreement"

The US and China have agreed to double the number of weekly passenger flights between the two countries, with the US Transportation Department increasing the number of Chinese flights allowed to fly to the US to 18 weekly round-trips starting September 1, and 24 per week from October 29. The Chinese government will also increase the number of flights for American carriers. This agreement comes after China lifted pandemic-era restrictions on group tours for several countries, including the US. The move is seen as a rare sign of cooperation between the two largest economies in the world.
