The ranking is based on the stress-free and efficient travel experience provided by the new terminal, which features unique design and art, local restaurants, and quick access to parking and security. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport were ranked second and third, respectively. Vancouver International Airport was named the best airport outside the U.S.
Singapore's Changi Airport has been named the "world's best airport" for a record 12th time in the "World Airport Awards 2023" announced by Skytrax. The survey was participated by global travelers representing more than 100 nationalities. Changi Airport also won the titles of Best Airport in Asia, World's Best Airport — Dining, and World's Best Airport — Leisure Amenities. The airport plans to expand the capacity of its Terminal 2 building by 5 million passengers per year, and has begun upgrading works that are scheduled for completion by 2024.
