Iranian hacktivist group, GhyamSarnegouni, gained access to Iran's Foreign Ministry servers, leaked sensitive data, and defaced the ministry's website. The group targeted Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in their message. Hacking groups have increasingly targeted government agencies since anti-regime protests began sweeping the country last year. Iranian "Hacktivist" group GhyamSarnegouni gained access to Iran's Foreign Ministry servers, leaked a trove of data, and defaced the ministry's website. The group also hacked versions of the Iranian Foreign Ministry website in Dubai, Munich, and Seoul, with a message targeting Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The leaked data included identification documents, ministry correspondence, phone numbers, and the names of over 11,000 of the ministry's employees. The hack comes amid increasing targeting of government agencies by hackers since anti-regime protests began sweeping the country last year.
