Advancements in MS Treatment: Stem Cells, Early Drug Use, and DMTs.
The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2023 Annual Meeting presented several studies on MS treatments, including stem cell therapy, which showed positive results in reducing disease activity and improving walking ability. Early use of Aubagio was also found to reduce the risk of developing MS symptoms in patients with radiologically isolated syndrome. Additionally, follow-up studies on DMTs Kesimpta and Tolebrutinib showed stable disability levels and low relapse rates.
