Analyzing 2024 Election: Key Demographic Voting Patterns
In the 2024 U.S. presidential election, President-elect Donald Trump secured a decisive victory, gaining increased support from key demographic groups. Notably, 16% of Black voters supported Trump, doubling his 2020 support, while Kamala Harris received 83% of Black votes, down from Biden's 91% in 2020. Among Latino voters, Trump's support rose to 42% from 35% in 2020, while Harris received 56%, down from Biden's 63%. A gender gap was evident, with Trump receiving more support from men across racial groups. The AP VoteCast survey, conducted with over 120,000 voters, highlighted these shifts in voter preferences.
