Riddhi Patel, an anti-Israel protester, sobbed during her arraignment in California after allegedly threatening to murder public officials at a city council meeting. She pleaded not guilty to 18 felony counts and was ordered to be held on $1 million bail, staying at least 500 yards away from city hall. Patel was charged with eight counts of threatening state officials and 10 counts of making threats with intent to terrorize after directing violent remarks at Bakersfield city council members and the mayor. She is due back in court on April 24.
