"Arrested Protester Faces 16 Felonies for Threatening City Council"

An anti-Israel protester, Riddhi Patel, was arrested for making death threats against lawmakers at a Bakersfield, Calif., city council meeting, where they threatened to "murder" Mayor Karen Goh and council members over the decision to install metal detectors at City Hall amid anti-Israel demonstrations. Patel also lashed out at the lawmakers for refusing to support a ceasefire resolution over Israel’s war with Hamas. They were charged with 18 counts of making terroristic threats and threatening state officials and are currently being held on $1 million bail.
