
Secretary Blinken's Diplomatic Journey: From Tel Aviv to Tokyo, Navigating Mideast Challenges
Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will embark on a trip to Tel Aviv, Israel; Amman, Jordan; Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; and New Delhi, India to discuss various issues. In Israel, he will express U.S. support for Israel's right to self-defense, work towards the release of hostages, and increase humanitarian aid to Gaza. In Jordan, he will emphasize the protection of civilian lives, the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza, and the establishment of a Palestinian state. In Tokyo and Seoul, he will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation, addressing global challenges, and reaffirming the defense commitments to Japan and South Korea. Finally, in New Delhi, he will participate in the 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue to discuss bilateral and global concerns in the Indo-Pacific region.
