Israeli Strikes Paralyze Damascus and Aleppo Airports
Israeli airstrikes targeted and knocked out of service the airports in Aleppo and Damascus, Syria, causing damage to runways and canceling all flights. One civilian worker was killed in the strike on the Damascus airport. These strikes mark the third attack in 10 days. The attacks come amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah and as the Israel Defense Forces prepare for a ground invasion of Gaza. Israel is believed to be targeting these airports to prevent the shipment of advanced weapons from Iran to its proxies in the region.
