A Delta Airlines flight, carrying 85 passengers, was possibly struck by lightning as it landed at Boston's Logan International Airport. The incident occurred just before touch-down, but the plane landed safely. Airport crews inspected the Airbus A220 and the aircraft is now out of service until inspections are complete. No injuries were reported.
Breeze Airways has announced five new nonstop routes, including flights to Charleston, West Virginia; Columbus, Ohio; and Pittsburgh from Tampa International Airport, and flights to Orlando and Tulsa, Oklahoma from New Orleans. All of the new flights will be operated on Breeze’s Airbus A220 aircraft, with introductory fares starting at $39 or $59 one-way. These new routes come just two weeks after Breeze announced three other new routes, including flights from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Tampa and Las Vegas, and a new route between Orlando and Portland, Maine.
