Libyan army chief Gen Mohammed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad was killed in a plane crash in Turkey while returning from a diplomatic visit, marking a significant loss for Libya amid ongoing military and political tensions. The aircraft, a Falcon 50, lost contact shortly after takeoff from Ankara, and the wreckage was found near Kesikkavak. The incident occurred during a period of strengthened military cooperation between Libya and Turkey.
