CDC Advises Seniors to Get Spring Booster Shot for COVID-19
The CDC has recommended an additional COVID-19 booster shot for adults aged 65 and older to restore waning protection, particularly for those at higher risk of severe infection. The shot is associated with short-term side effects such as headache, fatigue, and soreness at the injection site. Various products like ice packs, washcloths, Epsom salts, and resistance bands are suggested to ease potential symptoms, while maintaining hydration and monitoring temperature are also advised. Additionally, hand sanitizer and N95 or KN95 masks are recommended for protection against COVID-19 and other illnesses.
