Asteroid Near-Misses and Encounters Set for September 2-3
A small asteroid, 2025 QV5, approximately the size of a bus, will pass within 500,000 miles of Earth on September 3, its closest approach in nearly 100 years, and will not come this close again until 2125. It poses no threat to Earth but is being studied by NASA to better understand near-Earth objects.
