Hurricane Franklin remains a formidable Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds near 140 mph. While it is not expected to make landfall in the US, it poses a threat to the Eastern Seaboard and Bermuda. The storm is forecasted to pass west of Bermuda on Wednesday, causing life-threatening surf and rip currents along the Southeast and mid-Atlantic.
