Ukraine's Progress and Challenges as an EU Member.

As Ukraine seeks EU membership, officials are grappling with the question of how the EU will have to change to accommodate a war-devastated country of more than 40 million people. The accession of Ukraine would be a moment unlike any other in EU history, and the EU would first have to change. The decision-making process is already one of the most complicated in the world, and adding a member like Ukraine wouldn’t make things simpler. The EU will have to address issues such as agriculture, cohesion funding, and security before Ukraine can join.
