Ukraine's food exports face bans and restrictions from EU nations.

Hungary has temporarily banned the import of honey and certain meat products from Ukraine, along with 25 other products, until June 30, due to a glut of Ukrainian agricultural products on the Hungarian market. The government will also monitor shipments of those products coming from third countries to ensure they aren't from Ukraine. Hungary's move follows similar steps taken by Poland, Slovakia, and Bulgaria, which have banned food imports from Ukraine. The EU has proposed an initial support package of 56.3 million euros for the most affected farmers in the front-line countries. Hungary will also require grocery chains to offer discounts on various food products to curb the country's 47% yearly increase in food prices, the highest in the EU.
