Bassil Urges Hezbollah to Withdraw from Regional Conflicts

Lebanese politician Gebran Bassil urged Hezbollah to focus on domestic issues rather than regional conflicts, following a year of fighting with Israel that weakened the group. Bassil, leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, emphasized the need for Hezbollah to integrate into the Lebanese state and support Lebanon's sovereignty politically and diplomatically. He also opposed the candidacy of army head Joseph Aoun for the presidency, citing constitutional concerns and lack of consensus among Lebanese factions.
