Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has denied claims that it plans to develop nuclear weapons if US military aid ceases, reaffirming its commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. This denial follows a report suggesting Ukraine could quickly develop nuclear capabilities using plutonium from spent fuel rods. The report, allegedly from a Ukrainian military think tank, was to be presented to Ukraine's Defense Ministry. President Zelensky has previously hinted at nuclear development as a security measure if NATO membership remains elusive.
