"Trilateral Partnership's Nuclear Submarine Deal Sends Warning to China"

Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States have announced a trilateral partnership to provide Australia with a conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarine capability through the Australia-United Kingdom-United States (AUKUS) enhanced security partnership. The submarines will be based on the United Kingdom’s next-generation SSN design while incorporating cutting-edge U.S. submarine technologies. The partnership will enhance the capabilities of AUKUS partners to contribute to security and stability in the Indo-Pacific, increase the number of partner-nation SSNs in the region, and strengthen and make more resilient trilateral supply chains.
