Medvedev warns of catastrophic consequences if nuclear weapons fall into wrong hands.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, warned that the world would be on the brink of catastrophe if Russian nuclear weapons fell into the hands of "bandits" led by mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is attempting a coup. Prigozhin leads Wagner, a private army that includes thousands of former prisoners recruited from Russian jails, and has defied orders to place his troops under Defense Ministry command.
